John Wesley Eyres was born
in St. Louis, Missouri, in 1954. He spent the first
years of his life in North St. Louis (learning city skills),
attending Bel-Nor Grade School and Normandy Jr. High.
Then in the eighth grade John's parents moved to De Soto,
Missouri, buying 20 acres of woodland property with a
lake. John enjoyed a country lifestyle, graduating
from Hillsboro High School in 1973.
He attended Jefferson
Junior College, in Hillsboro, Missouri on a two-year music
scholarship program and then transferred to Central Missouri
State College, in Warrensburg, Missouri, graduating with a
B.M.E. in 1977. John taught music as a band director
to grades 5 through 12, for two years at Adrian R-3 Schools,
45 miles South of Kansas City, Missouri.
Desiring to move back home
to St. Louis and establish his roots, John changed careers
and took a photography copy-stand job at Commercial 35, Inc.
in the summer of 1979. After learning the 35mm slide
production business from the inside out for five years, he
was promoted to an account sales position. Here, he
found a niche area of work that he enjoyed and stayed in
sales. His sales background included Audio Visual
Rentals, Advertising, Business Disaster Recovery Services,
Computer Rentals, the Mortgage industry, Video Production
and he is currently working in the IT and Facilities
Management field.
John is married to Kristine
L. Eyres, who has been a dental hygienist for over 28
years. They celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary
in November of 2004. They have four children; Whitney,
Blake, McKenzie, and Gabrielle. They currently reside
in Creve Coeur, Missouri and attend Faith Christian
Ministries Church, where they have been members for over 20
years.
